Weight Loss Recipe: Vege Soup

Today I'm going to share 1 of the main food that I eat when I want to lose weight and for me it really work very well. Any of you wanna lose a few pound should try this.

The recipe can cook for about 1-2 week volume, so after cooking you can keep it in the refrigerator and reheat a portion everytime you want to eat. For me, I replace about 90% of my meals with the soup. It's very useful, you can replace your breakfast & dinner with this and consume some carb on lunch.

Note: You will need a very big soup pot for it

Ingredients
1. 1 cube of Vegetable Stock Cube
2. 1 small size Cabbage
3. 1 Yellow Onion (you can use red onion too)
4. 1 bunch of Celery
5. 1 block of Silken Tofu
6. 4 Potatoes
(Potato is not very recommend as it's higher carb vegetable but I can't help adding it because potatoes are my favortie! You can replace with carrot)
7. 3 Tomatoes

Preparation
Cabbage - coarsely chop up
Onion - thinly slice
Celery - de-vein and cut to about 1 inch tube
Tofu - cut into cubes
Potato - peel and cut into cubes
Tomato - cut into wedges (you can deseed it too)

Process
Firstly fill your pot with water to about 3/4 full and let it boil over medium fire. It's important to leave enough allowance for your ingredients you'll be surprise by how much the water level raises.

After the water starts to bubble, add in the vegetable stock and let it sit for awhile before stirring it.

After the stock cube dissolve, add in the potatoes and onion and let it simmer for a few minutes until the onion turn slightly transparent. In the mean time, you can cut the cabbage.

After the onion turn slightly transparent, add in the cabbage and turn the fire small to let it simmer. In the meantime, prepare the celery.

BTW if you don't know what is de-veining you just snap one end of the celery and pull across. This way the outer harder crust will be peeled off. If you prefer your celery to be more crunchy you can skip the de-veining.

After the cabbage soften slightly, add in the celery and let it cook while you prepare the tofu and tomatoes.

After the celery and cabbage lost abit of colour, add in the tofu and let it cook for awhile. At this time you can start cleaning up the mess you made. HAHA!

Note: after adding the tofu, avoid too much stirring as it will break up the tofu.

After 3mins, you can add in the tomato and turn up the fire to medium. It's done when your soup started boiling.

Note: Make sure you do not cook the soup too long after adding tomato if not the tomatoes will break up.

Ta-dah, all done! Beautiful, isn't it?

This is the normal portion I will eat every meal. I usually replace breakfast & dinner (sometime lunch too) and eat something else for lunch.

Hope this recipe helps and good luck to fellow folks trying to lose weight like me =.="

Decalring the start of my silmming down warz!

If you had been following me on twitter, you'll know that I'm going to start to silm down and decided to blog the process.

As the 1st post to declare the start, I will talk a little about my history of weight issue. I'm always little since young although I'm never skinny but I'm far from plump. After my puberty I started to gain fats (not height), I believe it due to drinking lots of milk at that period thinking that it will convert to height but sadly it doesn't.

However having said that, my weight has never go over 43kg (well, I'm short so 43kg is actually heavy for me). Until I got into nightlife and started working in pubs, the regular drinking and supper make me shoot to 49kg when I was 19years old.

At that time, I never really realized that I was fat because I don't really experience any guy issue so I just continue being blindly confident. Until I went to work at this Japanese pub, the girls there are all good looking with fabulous body! I started to feel the pressure and the Japanese man there have no issue about telling you straight in your face that you are fat! Soon I realize that I had to do something about my weight and thankfully I had a great boss, she is like a elder sister to me and she started guiding me along and keeping an eye on me losing the kilos off.

With super determination and extreme diet and exercise regime, I lost 8kg in about 3 months. I know people will say it unhealthy to lose that much in such short time but I will say the methods I use only work well on me, it might not work well on other people. The future posts that I will post on this topic is only to share my experience not to advice people to follow my ways to losing weight. In fact, I highly do not recommend my methods for normal people unless you are like me who loves unhealthy food like my own life and super not discipline and gets dishearten very easily.

Ok, done with the disclaimer. I maintain my weight around 40-43kg for the next 2 years and eventually I quit my job. After quitting the job, there no need for me to maintain my weight and I had more time to spend eating (my fav activity) so after another 3 years, I gain all my kilo back! T_T

So here I am now declaring that I will follow the same regime and methods I use before to see if I can lose some weight again. I believe the result will not be as good as when I'm 19 because come on I'm almost 25 now, my body just don't burn fat that fast anymore but I believe if I can be DISCIPLINE enough I could go back to 42kg in about 6 months or so.

That's all on my background, I officially declare today as the start of the program. I will blog on my results, my diets, exercise regime, some product I find useful and more tips and tricks.

**Wish Me Luck**

This movie exceeded my expectation so much that I feel the need to blog it!

A little fact about me and my movies: Firstly, I had no interests in X Men at all or as the matter of fact I had no interest in any marvel heros. Secondly, I totally hate watching action blockbuster movies simply because they never fail to put me asleep. Lastly, I only watch action movies when my brothers wants to watch it and being a LOVING SISTER *ahem* it's hard for me to say 'No'.

So from the facts above, you figures the reason why I watched the X Men: First Class. Jackie (one of my younger brothers) and I watched the show 2 nights ago, we brought the midnight 2:30am show because all the tickets are selling like crazy and I figure that 2:30am will be just right for me to fall asleep in the theatre.

But but but... to my surprise not only did I stay awake through the whole show, I also love it!! This show is not the kind of action movies that go wooha on the CGs and action plot and forgets about the storyline (which is why I hate action or heavily CG movies. This actually had a very solid storyline which make you invovle emotionally. Not only will you see amazing CG effects and fantasy action pack scenes, you will also see the emotional factors of it. The struggle between humans and mutants, mutants and mutants. The friendship behind the enemy and the determination in Professor X's belief.

This show will really blow you away and I'm not even paid to say this!!

People go watch it if you haven't, I demand!! (LOL)

April's KL + Genting Trip Day 2

We had planned to visit Genting on day 2 so we booked a tour which include to & fro transportation, cable car ride, indoor & outdoor amusement entry.

Because the bus pickup is DAMN EARLY and I insist on having the breakfast because no way I'm missing a 5stars hotel's breakfast!! (Yeah I know, I'm cheapo.. Whatever!!). Due to that I had get up SUPER EARLY (never happened after I left school).

Anyway, I got up early but the kiasu bus still arrived way too early!! However the Ritz staffs is damn nice seeing that we don't seem ready they let the bus move on to pick up other hotel's guests and come back to get us last (that is what "HIGH CLASS" hotel advantage is! Ahem!). Yay! I got to indulge in the breakfast. Not to mention it's awesomely delicious!! *THUMBS UP*

We took about 1.5 hours to reach the Genting's cable car station! Gosh, so f**king long.. Where in Singapore do I need to travel 1.5 hours to get to by car?? Answer is nowhere! From one end to another end of Singapore also no need 1.5 hours loh =.=

Outside cable car station: rows of tour bus!

Up and going on the cable car
**John confess that he is afraid of height =.=

Although Genting's cable car feel less stable than the Sentosa's but I think Sentosa's is scarier. See how the trees are very near to the cable car so don't give so it lessen the height fear factor where else Sentosa's is really long way from land..

A neighbor cable car

and.. it started raining =.= Great, I know my bad luck will haunt me.. There goes the outdoor amusement park!

P.S. At the end 30mins before we had to fall back, the rain finally stop (like raining for over 6hrs) HATE IT!!

Raining super hard! Look how hazy it got!

First ride the bright thingy that go around the mall mid air (Ya, it's a kids ride =.=)

This fancy ride is so beautiful, I wanted to ride this so much but it's under maintenance. *sad*

In the ride, it's a stupid flower looking 1 not cute at all!

Cool stuffs we saw on board of the kiddy ride..
What cartoon character is this?

Superman!

Statue of Liberty

After the kiddy ride, we went to the Ripey's Believe It or Not museum..
Me on the confession chair

The chair is decorated with this solid pointy figures which is painful to lean against and while standing up I hit one of it and got a big blue black on my arm

The fertility totem, it seems that any woman who touches it will get pregnant and there's a video showing how some woman who accidentally touches it got pregnant shortly after. (Luckily, I never touched it!!)

Try this

This wax figurines look so life like!!

They will position on the entry way of a section looking like the old man was taking a photo of the lady (it even had the flash going on). I was so convinced that I stop right before them thinking to let him finish shooting before I pass through -.-

This beautiful palace was made out of matchsticks and the noble who order this to be made actually chop off its maker's hands such that there can be no second such art piece ever again! OMG

The past jail cells

Baby's coffin

The torture chair

Sitting on the world's tallest man's chair! Huge!!

We sat on Genting's luckiest chair but didn't won any money in the casino.. Well, John blame that on my bad luck trend (whatever..)

Eyes Popper

You may not see it but this guy has 2 iris in his eyes!

Unicorn?!

An old cash register

I tried to sit on the shark jaw, but the teeth is poking my butt painfully!

Beautiful art made from toasts (can u believe it?)

MJ

After the musem, we took this little venice boat ride

On board, the boat actually has italian music playing in the background

Eiffel Tower

London Bus

The only ride we managed to do outdoor was my favourite merry-go-round

Then it was time to go.. The bus drove us down the mountain and go on another 2 hrs drive to get back to the hotel. I slept all the way through..

After getting back to the hotel, tired and aching everywhere I went for a massage at the Ritz spa. Their services are awesome and the massage was very comforting too!

After the massage, John brought me to this awesome French restuarnt which he says has a gay bar on the second floor but since it was a Sunday, we didn't saw any gays around. The food was divine and the service crew there are all very helpful and informative which is cool! I will definitely want to go back there again but I forgot the name of the restuarant -.-

After the hearty meal, we decided no more drinks since we had quite a bit of red wine in the restuarant and call it a day.

The last day was a rush as we only had time for breakfast before heading to the airport for my departure. However that morning this one Ritz breakfast waiter really impressed me! John decided to order the scrambled egg set that I ate yesterday for breakfast. I was asking him why do he want to order something that I had already tried? He said that he was craving for hashbrown and the set actually come with a tiny piece. So I was saying to him 'but the hashbrown is so small, wont be able to fulfill your craving la.'. To our surprize, the dish came with a standard large hashbrown! As we were looking at each other with question mark on our face, the waiter explained that he overheard our conversation and decided to change the hashbrown. Goodness, that's what service is about man!! Great Job!! *THUMBS UP* Too bad I didn't took a peak of his name, I so much wanted to write a commendation letter =D

After the delightful breakfast, John drove me to the airport and on the way he actually lost his way.. Can you believe he is a malaysian? =.= So we arrived at the airport later than I anticipated and was shocked to see such a long queue on the check-in counter. There goes my plan to shop in KL airport! I blame that on my luck yet again! Next time I really hope to be able to shop around the KL airport!

(P.S. If you are reading my blog, please help me to do the nuffnang survey on the right. Just answer three question nia, let me know who has been reading my blog ok? Thanks!! ^^)
