The Lorax Movie Review

Sponsored

From the creators of Despicable Me, The Lorax was born. Adopted from a children book written by Dr Seuss, this movie brings a deeper message behind the fun and laughter.

The story started off with a town with no "real" trees and air that need to be brought for breathing. A boy named Ted in an attempt to impress his dream girl set off in search of a "real" tree.

Ted set off to meet a man named Once-ler who is believed to know what happened to all the trees but Once-ler turn out to be the person responsible for the extinction of all trees.

Blind by greed, Once-ler made the mistake of chopping down each and every trees despite Lorax's warning. After all trees are gone so did Lorax and all the forest friends. Once-ler regrets greatly for the mistake he made and decided to entrust Ted with the mission of reviving the trees with the last seed left.

I especially love the quote that Once-ler said when handing over the last seed - "It’s not about what it is, Its about what it can become." It's so meaningful, it brings tears to my eyes.. Ok I over exaggerated a little on that part but this quote summaries it all, you'll know what I mean after you watch the show.

To be honest, I'm a little disappointed as the storyline are sometime too dry and it's ain't that funny as I figure it may be but and that's a huge BUT the movie holds a very meaningful message behind and it's way above than just being a normal animation. If you have kids, you should really bring them to watch The Lorax, they will be able to walk away with something good.

The Lorax available in 3D and 2D will be in cinemas on 8 March 2012!
